We are Chip Connect BW.
Chip Connect BW is a network.

A network is a group.
In the group are people and companies.
The people and companies help each other.

What does Chip Connect BW do?

We bring three groups together:

  • Companies
  • Researchers
  • Politics

These three groups work together with us.
They work together on the topic of semiconductors.

What are semiconductors?

Semiconductors are small parts.
Semiconductors are in computers.
Semiconductors are also in phones and in cars.
Without semiconductors, modern technology does not work.

Why does Chip Connect BW exist?

Right now, many semiconductors come from other countries.
This should change.
Baden-Württemberg wants to make more semiconductors itself.
That is why companies and research work together with us.

Who is behind Chip Connect BW?

The state of Baden-Württemberg supports Chip Connect BW with money.
More exactly: the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism.
The organisation microTEC Südwest takes care of organising Chip Connect BW.
